Be fearless and confident. Remember that design is for people, with people and about people.
There’s totally a blooper in here, with an iCal event reminder. Nature of the beast, I suppose! Thanks, guys, for sharing about how designing for designers isn’t what it’s all about.
The bad video along with the ical blooper really makes this one hard to watch and not as good as the others.
Anyways, keep it up mig
David, it’s definitely an on-going learning process. Battling the tech and internet issues is definitely rough, but I decided to keep any bloopers and record them all interviews in one take. iChat, IMs, popups, slips, anything and everything is captured.
I love this thing, bloopers included. Good advice all around.
great site mig,
agree that it’s difficult to get a clear message thru the tech difficulties, but i understand that presenting an unedited interview, especially on this kind of topic, can translate into just as well of a teaching tool.
Thanks, dasMetzger.
One of the primary goals in Humble Pied is to keep everything as real as possible. iChat was the perfect medium for that, (most) everyone has it. Seeing designers and artists in their own working environments helps bring everyone else closer, too.
I don’t intend on this being a high-production value show by any means, so if mistakes happen along the way, so be it. Thanks again!
These are great.
The glitches add to the authenticity of these.
Nice points all around, looking forward to more. Maybe in the future the interviewees could talk about particular pieces and then reference them in the description? Just a thought!
Cool!
ical reminder doesnt bother me one bit. the advice is whats important.
and you know mig is a designer with those super quick mouse skills. that popup was gone in like .04 seconds.
great site, again. ive just discovered it and have burned through almost all the videos. well done!
