Dress Code

Proof of Awesome

Dan and Andre are the two wickedly talented designers who form Dress Code, a multi-faceted design studio based out of New York. With their combined age barely pushing 50, the two have done work for the likes of MTV, Nike and Comcast. Beyond their studio work, the two have published a book regarding life as a young designer, teach and of course, lecture around the world inspiring other young designers with their experiences.

  1. I’m going into art direction, and this is something that was overlooked in undergrad.
People seem to forget the importance and impact that having a side hustle brings—especially in advertising—when tapping into specific subcultures.
Having that passion, outside of your career, allows you to have multiple perspectives. You never know when a hobby you do now becomes a great tool when marketing to that niche.

  2. It’s great to see people who like to get there hands in a bit of everything. Definitely going to check out that book, it looks pretty interesting.

    Time to start hustlin’…

  3. Just finished reading “Never Sleep”. It was a great book and I think any design student would love it. Between getting ready to go to the ADC portfolio review, graduating in May, and working hard for the Adobe Achievement Awards, it was the perfect time to read about two guys who went through the exact same experiences and challenges.

    Everyone should check it out!

    Thanks, guys.

  4. Congrats on all the hustlin’ you’re doing, Bryan. I’m sure the dudes of Dress Code would give some props, too. Work it, man. And best of luck!
