Grant Gilliland

Proof of Awesome

Grant is an illustrator and a children's book cartoonist. He's among the elite and awesome illustrators within the Scott Hull family. He's known for his style in skewed depictions of seemingly "ugly" but fun-loving characters. Gross never looked so good.

    Awesome interview!

I love his blog…he writes the funniest little stories with his drawings.

    Loving this site, too :)

“Low brow” indeed! To which I would add “creepy in a sweet way,” or maybe “playfully affrontive…” A unique voice. Carry on, Grant!

  5. Heather Kostich

The term “lowbrow” is funny…but I think it works with Grant’s work…in a good way!

I am still in school, so I feel like I am still working on finding my voice. I do know that trusting your intuition and being confident are HUGE factors when making creative work. I would love to hear from more illustrators on Humble Pied!
