Grant is an illustrator and a children's book cartoonist. He's among the elite and awesome illustrators within the Scott Hull family. He's known for his style in skewed depictions of seemingly "ugly" but fun-loving characters. Gross never looked so good.

Have a voice, and be patient.
Grant is an amazing illustrator! Great advice, Grant.
Awesome interview!
I love his blog…he writes the funniest little stories with his drawings.
Loving this site, too
Yes, Yes, Great Interview! Grant someone I look up to in this industry, Good Show, mate.
“Low brow” indeed! To which I would add “creepy in a sweet way,” or maybe “playfully affrontive…” A unique voice. Carry on, Grant!
The term “lowbrow” is funny…but I think it works with Grant’s work…in a good way!
I am still in school, so I feel like I am still working on finding my voice. I do know that trusting your intuition and being confident are HUGE factors when making creative work. I would love to hear from more illustrators on Humble Pied!

Heather, be sure to check out Von Glitschka’s tip, too. We’re excited to have new people coming up on Humble Pied, stay tuned!
I’m a huge fan of Grant’s work, and I’m loving the concept of this site!
Yeah G! Thanks for the drawing, man…
Solid interview as well.
